Director

Nick Dusic

Nick Dusic joined CaSE as its Director in December 2007. Nick is responsible for the management of the organisation and leading its policy and media activities. His expertise is in research funding, scientific advice in policymaking and corporate investment in R&D.

 

Nick has an MSc in geography from University College London. His career in science policy started as intern at the Parliamentary Office of Science and Technology. He has worked as a Policy Officer for the Associate Parliamentary Sustainable Waste Group and as the British Ecological Society’s Science Policy Manager.

Assistant Director

Dr Hilary Leevers

Hilary Leevers joined CaSE in February 2007. She is familiar with all of CaSE's activities, having worked for a period as Acting Director, and now focuses on organising Opinion Forum meetings. She has developed expertise in secondary science education and diversity in science and engineering.

 

Before working at CaSE, Hilary studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, and a PhD in Developmental Psychology at Oxford University. She then ran a variety of research projects at the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience at Rutgers University, Newark, USA, before returning to England in 2001 to work as a Research Consultant.

David Hawksett

 

David Hawksett joined CaSE in September 2007. David is responsible for managing CaSE's relationship with current and prospective organisational members.

 

David has a background in science journalism, publishing, television and outreach. As the science and technology editor at Guinness World Records he was frequently in contact with many UK scientists and engineers and is well aware of just what can be achieved in this country.

Administrative

Assistant

Nick Hall

Nick Hall started as Research and Administrative Assistant in June 2008. Nick provides research support for our policy and media activities as well as managing our contacts database.

 

Nick also works part time as a Parliamentary Researcher in Westminster. He studied History at the Warwick University, before taking a Masters in Politics, Security and Integration at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies, UCL.
